If you’re stuck, looking for inspiration, or learning the basics of storytelling, this workshop offers a structured way to spark new ideas and shape them into a clear narrative.

  • Total Time: Five hours across two sessions

  • Includes: Notebook and pen

  • Locations: Portland Art Museum + Central Library

Part 1

You’ll explore the museum on a guided treasure hunt using a few simple prompts.

Examples include:

  • Find a piece that evokes a new emotion.

  • Find something that surprised you

Participants have approximately 90 minutes to explore the museum.
Afterward, the group walks to the Central Library to discuss discoveries and turn those threads into early story work.

Part 2

  • Date: Selected during Part 1

The group meets again about two weeks later for a two-hour follow-up session to share work, refine ideas, and shape the final piece together.
