A workshop on perspective, overwhelm, and focus · Seattle Art Museum

$65.00

Hello, I’m Ryan. I’m a Portland-based consultant who works with high-agency humans.

I’ve lived every angle of the entrepreneurial life. I know what it’s like to get lost in focus, and I also know what it’s like to become so out of focus you can’t see the project right in front of you.

This January, I’m taking a small group of founders, creatives and curious people to the Seattle Art Museum for a three-hour, in-person workshop focused on overwhelm, burnout, and perfectionism.

Workshop Details

Date: Saturday, January 17th, 10:30 am
Price: $65 per person
Total time: Three hours
Location: Seattle Art Museum (SAM) and nearby coffee shop
Group size: Limited
Museum admission: Not included (free for members)

Why the Art Museum

Looking at art creates a natural time-out. Instead of judging work as good or bad, or like or don’t like, the focus becomes a simpler question:

What are you seeing, and why do you see it this way?

That shift creates distance from day-to-day pressure and opens up perspective.

How the Experience Works

You’ll be given a small set of focused prompts for the museum portion of the experience. Participants move independently through the galleries, looking at specific questions to surface patterns, assumptions, and points of tension.

Afterward, we’ll reconnect at a nearby coffee shop and talk through what emerged, connecting those observations directly to your work, overwhelm, decisions, and current priorities.

What You’ll Leave With

  • Clearer awareness of how you’re framing your work or decisions

  • Insight into patterns that influence how you approach complexity

  • A better sense of what deserves your attention next

Registration required. Space is limited.
